Liam Slater - Osteopath
Areas of Expertise:

-
Acute and chronic lower back pain
-
Sports injury and rehabilitation
-
Personal training and exercise prescription
-
Dry needling/medical acupuncture

My passion lies in helping people. Before graduating as an osteopath, I spent eight years in Nottingham as a massage therapist, gaining hands-on experience in treating postural strains, arthritis, sports injuries, disc injuries, and general aches and pains.

Alongside my osteopathy and massage qualifications, I’m certified in medical acupuncture and personal training. I am also a keen sportsman and CrossFitter, which brings a deeper understanding of sports injuries to my approach to rehabilitation and prevention. This diverse background enables me to tailor treatments to each patient’s needs.

I strongly believe in empowering patients to take an active role in their recovery, which is why I create personalised rehabilitation plans for them to follow outside the clinic. This approach not only accelerates recovery but also helps prevent the recurrence of old injuries.
Phoebe Lavery-Wall - Osteopath
Areas of Expertise:

-
Paediatric osteopathy (treating children and babies)
-
Cranial osteopathy
-
Osteopathy during pregnancy and postpartum
-
Fibromyalgia

In a typical day, I see a whole range of patients from babies to the rugby players, and everyone in between so I use a variety of techniques and tailor a treatment to the most appropriate for each patient.

I have a particular interest in treating headaches, paediatric patients and the musculoskeletal challenges that can arise during and after pregnancy. My advanced studies in Cranial osteopathy at the Master’s level enable me to use gentle, precise techniques that offer significant relief from discomfort.

What I love most about being an osteopath is the opportunity to spend quality time with my patients. Longer appointment times allow me to understand how their conditions impact their lives and families.
I’ll never tire of watching patients improve, and helping people to regain independence through better understanding and management of their condition or injury.

With many years of experience as a qualified sports massage therapist, I am passionate about helping individuals reach their best physical condition. My work has allowed me to collaborate with two skilled osteopaths, deepening my understanding of holistic care and enhancing my ability to support my clients effectively.

I have a strong professional interest in sports injury rehabilitation. It’s incredibly rewarding to guide my patients back to full fitness, tailoring treatments to their unique needs. My approach begins with thorough postural assessments, enabling me to identify goals and limitations and deliver personalised care that supports their overall well-being.

Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working with local football and cricket clubs. These experiences have provided invaluable insights into the demands athletes face and the common injuries they encounter. By understanding these challenges, I can create targeted treatment plans that accelerate recovery and optimise performance.

I am an experienced and qualified remedial therapist with a deep understanding of the mind-body relationship, dedicated to helping patients achieve balance and find relief from pain and tension.

With a passion for wellness and a commitment to supporting the body’s natural healing process, I earned my Level 5 qualification as a Clinical Reflexologist, the highest recognition in the field. This enables me to create tailored treatment plans that address each patient’s unique needs.
In addition to reflexology, I offer a range of complementary therapies designed to enhance the body’s innate ability to heal and resolve specific concerns.

Driven by a commitment to ongoing professional development, I am currently pursuing a B.Ost (Hons) Osteopathy degree. This further training allows me to enhance the treatments I provide, ensuring the highest standard of care for my patients.
Nicola Cheshire - Acupuncture
Areas of Expertise:

-
Acupuncture
-
Cupping therapy
-
Gua Sha
Traditional Chinese acupuncture is an ancient practice centred on balancing the body’s energy, or Qi, by inserting fine, hair-thin needles at specific points on the body. This practice has evolved into a comprehensive system, and by integrating it with modern western physiology, I can customise treatments that address both the symptoms and their underlying causes. My approach may also include techniques such as gua sha, cupping, moxibustion, and electro-acupuncture.

Acupuncture is widely used to treat a variety of conditions, including chronic pain, migraines and headaches, chronic fatigue, menopausal symptoms, gynaecological and women’s health issues, insomnia, mental health challenges, digestive problems, and more.
"Liam is awesome! Not only did he sort out my trapped nerve quickly so I could climb a mountain, but i would now consider him essential to sort any issues with movement. I would not hesitate to recommend him, he is very skilled, courteous and professional at all times."
